Need multiple OpenId Connect login providers for multi-tenant ASP.NET application RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi

We can add a single OpenId authentication middleware into the OWIN runtime but what happens if we have multiple providers to configure?

Our application loads a tenant based on the host address in the request URL. Each tenant needs to be able to optionally configure an OpenId connect provider. The config needs to be lazy loaded into the application state when an end user requests an external login.

Not every tenant will need a login provider so we don't want to add hundreds of open ID connect middleware configs at start-up.

Can this be done using the 'Microsoft.Owin' libraries? If so is there a way to have the middleware load config per request? Or is there any other alternatives we good try?

    Thank you

    Andrew

  • Hi j055,

    Thank you for posting here.

According to your question is more related to ASP.NET, you could post a new thread in ASP.NET forum for suitable support.

The CLR Forum discuss and ask questions about .NET Framework Base Classes (BCL) such as Collections, I/O, Regigistry, Globalization, Reflection. Also discuss all the other Microsoft libraries that are built on or extend the .NET Framework, including Managed Extensibility Framework (MEF), Charting Controls, CardSpace, Windows Identity Foundation (WIF), Point of Sale (POS), Transactions.

    Best Regards,

    Wendy
