Leech FTP can't connect anymore, after OneCare installed RRS feed

  • Question

  •

I get a "Socket Error-No connection" after Onecare was installed.

If I stop the OnceCare Firewall, then LeechFTP works again.

    Any idea ?

    Thanks,

    Patrick.

  • You'll probably need to allow ports through the firewall and perhaps identify the LeechFTP executable as allowed. You can contact support if the makers of LeechFTP can't provide that information for you.

  • There is a catch here...

I removed NORTON for which my subscription would end in 2 months for trying OneCare since there is a 3 month free license.

Now, I have a problem, which seems very much to be a bug, and I need to purchase a license to make it work ?

    Makes any sense ?

I allowed LeechFTP as a program, even tried for the sake of it to Manually allow the FTP port, which you understand makes little sense to do as this should be out of the box.

What would you suggest me to do ?

    Best regards,

    Patrick.

  • Support for a trial user is available via email for free, Patrick. When you start the support flow from the link in OneCare, you can choose the option that you are using a trial or beta copy and it will proceed to the email support form.
