MCPD 70-511 Resources?

I was just looking thru certification paths and figured a good starting point would be working towards my MCPD which seems to contain

70-511
70-513
70-516
70-518

but is there anything online or even books I can buy that will actually teach me the content? not just a refresher type. There are so many topics that I have not even learned and researching each individually while I guess is totally feasible just doesn't seem like a good learning path. Is there a book that maybe covers how and why I should design programs a certain way? (I'm coming from C# programming language I have been working on for years) but topics like WCF, WPF? MVVM? services? I've never worked with any of this.

Can anyone suggest really solid books on learning material covered in these exams? (even mainly 70-511 as a starter)

I would reccomend the Microsoft Press books.

Also Microsoft official Classes are a good way to get the foundation knowledge for Microsoft Tests. Microsoft lists some preperation materials on their web site

Of course there is no replacement for hands on experience.
