Unable to install CSF 3.0-Giving error "1720-Script required for this install to complete could not be run" RRS feed

    Hello All,

     

     

    I have initially installed CSF 3.0 SP1 ,it got installed successfully.

    Then I uninstalled it and tried to install the CSF3.0 .

    I have selected the "custom installation " option and the "Session Service".

    I looked at the CSF install to directory and the installer created this directory structure but there are no files in any directory. 

    c:\program files\Microsoft CSF\V3.0\RunTime\Session\participant\cache

     

    How to proceed further?

    Kindly let me know if I am missing anything during installation.

    You may be able to find further information in the installation logs:

    C:\Documents and Settings\<User>\Local Settings\Temp

     

    I don't know if downgrading from 3.0 SP1 to 3.0 is supported.  You may want ensure that any CSF databases have been cleaned up by the uninstallation process, and if not delete them.  The CSFProfileManager database schema changed between versions and I'm not sure if any other databases were changed as well.

    If you don't have a good reason not to, I would keep running SP1.
