Restore WHS backup without server? RRS feed

    I was wondering if there is another way to restore the WHS backup than using WHS. I live in an area that gets thunderstorms and I have had my house hit several times with lightning. This does bad things to computers even if they are not powered on. If this were to happen I would probably want to bring up other computers before I had to rebuild my server. It would be nice to be able to restore the backup that WHS has done. I may have to put the drive in the machine I was trying to restore or maybe have an offline copy of the backups that I would use. Would I be able to restore this backup without the server?
