I am having the issue of using the domain name setup wizard. When i click next i am asked for a windows live id and a password for the account but when i put in my windows live id and password which i know is working because i had to login to it to be able to post to this forum but for some reason when i type it in and click next i get incorrect e-mail address or password.....
it is like this: example@live.com
password: XXXXXXXXXXXXXX
i get:
Incorrect e-mail address or password
The e-mail address or password you typed is not correct. Please type the correct e-mail address or password, and click next
I have tryed to reset my password on the account although the passwrod i was using would log me into the web based system just fine but that did not work either....anyone else having this problem?Sunday, March 1, 2009 10:37 PM

OK, I've solved this, it seems that WHS uses different password rules than Windows Live (see this thread for details).

I have exactly the same problem, I can remote desktop to the WHS and sign into Windows Live from a web browser there, but cannot sign in from the wizard, so I can't set up my domain.
Anyone know what could be causing this?

The only way i found to resolve this was to get a whole new windows live ID..........I tried everything before resorting to this.Thursday, March 5, 2009 9:16 PM

Thanks Jay,
I tried a new Windows Live ID, that made no difference.
The other problem I can see is that the router test never completes, it still says "testing", when I look at the details I can see that the first 4 tests passed, the last test (Remote Access connections) is still running, but it never completes (either pass, or fail).
I have checked my port forwarding with Shields Up, it shows 80 and 443 open, 4125 closed, all other ports stealthed.
