This copy of Windows is not genuine -- Build 7601

Question

This just happened tonight, 9/2/11. This copy of Windows 7 (which I believe I bought directly from Microsoft) has been working just fine until tonight.
Here's my MGADiag report:

A Microsoft employee has sent me this statement to give to Microsoft's digital download customers who had their Windows invalidated this weekend. It reads,
There appears to have been an issue with the Product key Activation/Validation servers that only affected a subset of Digitally Distributed Product keys.
This issue has been corrected and users that were affected by this issue should no longer be seeing this Non-Genuine/Key Blocked error.
If you do still see this error please try the following:
1) Reboot and then re-try Activating and/or Validating.
2) If you still see the issue, please contact Microsoft Assisted Support (at one of the below URLs)

Try System Restore to a date prior to when you saw this error message.

OK. I did a system restore to a date prior to the last critical update, a few days ago. And for a few seconds it looked like it worked. But now, even though I have my wallpaper back, I still have the "not genuine" message at the bottom right and a pop up that says "Optional update delivery is not working. You may be a victim of software counterfeiting...etc..."
Thanks for any continuing help. Here's the MGADiag report I just ran:

And silence. This is really the last straw. I found my receipt. I bought and downloaded Windows 7 directly from Microsoft. My Dell computer is the only PC in the house (husband and son are Mac). I have never shared my product key with anyone. There is no reason on Earth that MS should blacken my screen and pop up warning message after warning message. Seriously, there can not be an acceptable explanation for disabling a product I bought directly from Microsoft.
This is BS.
And just try to get some support. Seriously, the circuitous nonresponsive web pages might be funny to someone, but they aren't funny to me.
I loved Windows 7. I thought it was just beautiful. I loved jump lists. But this is no way to treat an honest paying customer. I'm joining the rest of my family and buying a Mac.
