which exam should I take? confused

Hello All
I am planning to get certified in .net technologies. I am confused which exam to go for and where will I get all the preparation material. Here is the problem:
I have around 3 years expereince in .net 2.0 , but I want to get certified in .net 3.5 , WPF and WCF.
I guess I need to prepare for 3 exams. Is it recommended to gor .net 3.5 without haveing .net 2.0 certification. Also, please advise on exam numbers and exam books that I should refer. There are some e learning pakage from MS. Are they any better then books MCTS Self-Paced Training Kit specifically when e learning costs much more then books. Do they really have discounts on e learning as I was reading in one of the threads ...
For .net 3.5 ,WPF and WCF --> is exam 70-502 and 70-503 sufficient ? If yes , please suggest books or e learning , which is preffered ?
Before giving the 2 exams written above, do i need exam 70-536?
I really appreciate if someone can solve these puzzles for me..
Thanks

Hi,
Self-paced training kits are enough when you have some experience which I believe you do. So if you want to invest some money, I would rather invest on exam prep like Measure-Up or Self-test.
In terms of time, spend more on 70-536 than WPF or WCF exam. 70-536 would be the hardest one among all three. So make sure you are fully prepared. Three months for three exams should be good enough. Now whether you should schedule all there exams for focus, it totally depends on your and your motivation factor, but I certainly encourage everyone to schedule their test in advance, since as human we all like to procrastinate.

To get certified in .Net 3.5, WPF and WCF, you need to pass 3 exams:
- 70-536 (which is common for both),
- 70-502 (WPF) and
- 70-503 (WCF).
I would recommend Microsoft Self-paced exam kit for these exams:
70-536: http://www.microsoft.com/learning/en/us/book.aspx?ID=9469&locale=en-us
70-502: http://www.microsoft.com/learning/en/us/book.aspx?ID=12485&locale=en-us
70-503: http://www.microsoft.com/learning/en/us/book.aspx?ID=12486&locale=en-us
Hope this is helpful.

Rubel-Thanks for letting me know . So only these books are enough . No need of e learning pakages specially when they have reduced prices of e learning pakage by 90%. So I can get pakage for 35$.
Also, with these books that you recommended , 1 month for each exam is appropriate ?I am planning to give these 3 exams in next 3 months ....Can I schedule date for exams now, so that I can keep them as my deadline ? what do you recommend?
The information you provided is really helpful.
Thanks
