  • You have a problem with the reporting services installation. You need to verify that it works ok, by going to the link http://localhost//ReportServer and verifying that you get the reporting services version.

It seems that the server already has reporting services installaed. You need to access as administrator for the reporting services as well.

    Hi,

I have the same problem and I am not sure that I follow your answer.

I am trying to add a new organisation into my Dynamics CRM demo (it is on a Virtual Machine). Report Services seems to be running (as per SQL Server Management Console) and the default Dynamics CRM organisation that I have seems to be working fine...

I try to get into http://localhost//ReportServer and I get a 403 error, saying that it is likely that I must log-in into the page. I don't get a log-in box or page, though...

    Any ideas?

    Regards,
    P.

  • I managed to fix it. Here is how I've done it.

    1. I ran the 'Reporting Services Configuration Manager'
    2. After connecting to my server (which is the local machine, but I specified the server name and NOT 'localhost'), I seletect the option 'Report Server Virtual Directory' on the left pane. I checked the option 'Apply default settings' then clicked on 'Apply' button at the bottom.
    3. Then I selected 'Report Manager Virtual Directory' on the left pane. I checked the option 'Apply default settings' then clicked on 'Apply' button at the bottom.
    4. Then I ran the Deployment Manager for Dynamics CRM to created a new organisation, and this time it detected the SQL Reporting Server I specified without any issues.

Hope this can help others experiencing similar issues.

    Regards,
    P.
