How do I Archive Video? RRS feed

  • I'd like to be able to archive video from conference or meetings in OCS.
    For example if I had a big "meeting", and I wanted to capture the meeting (video & messages) to be re-played at another time.

    Has anyone done this before?

  • You can only manually record meetings
    If you use the Live Meeting client you can record the meeting from the Recording tab

  • This is a client side setting
    I did not find anything in the Livemeeting ADM file (Group Policy file)
    But I found the key where it is set for the users :

    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Live Meeting\Console\Version 8.0\RecordingDir

    You should be able to change that with a login script

    Any ideas or methods of changing the default location from "My Meeting" locally to a remote file server?

    Awesome tip on this one...  I am hoping future versions the ADM has this included, and would also REALLY like to force record, and also allow saving to a Sharepoint or Windows Media Server.  Right now, some customers do this manually and it is "policy" to do so - but is unenforcable.  :(
