recently i have a message from my friend in msn :
///////////: http://www4.imtract.com/member.php?msn=***********@hotmail.com

i press the link and the web ask me to download something and i run it...
after that my msn message goes crazy and sent this particular message to every1 in my list.
i exit the msn message to stop the spreading and found a file in my program file
*Bonjour*
it cant be deleted.
it doesnt affect my computer stuff but only my msn.
the hotmail is the person, the virus/trojan* is spreading to.
example. it* sending to 12345@hotmail.com den it will change to
" ////////: http://www4.imtract.com/member.php?msn=***********@hotmail.com those ur pics? "
i downloaded the window defender and it cant detect it...
so is this a trojan or virus ?
what should i do?

Hello,
Please try http://safety.live.com for the free scanner or install OneCare. You may also want to try Spybot Search & Destroy and adware if the first two do not work.

What's the version of your MSN Messenger? Also uninstall your MSN messenger and resinstall a new one its a network specific worm it creeps along your MSN port. Go to your Program Files folder in your HDD after uinstalling and delete the remnant directory of MSN Messenger
also go to Start > run
type %temp% ( delete all entries for this folder )
type temp ( delete all that can be deleted )
type prefetch ( delete it all )
Do not click on the link prompted by this auto scripting worm.Monday, June 4, 2007 3:36 PM -

I would encourage you to wait a bit further, as you have indicated your friend have sameinstances as you have, it would help not only you but others with same concern. I've seen this happen on Yahoo Messenger, but this is by far the first time to occur on MSN Messenger.
