  • Hello Amay,

    Thank you for providing us with further information. Based on your MGA Diagnostic results you have a trial version of Office installed.
    OGA Data-->
    Office Status: 102
    Microsoft Office Home and Student 2007 - 100 Genuine

     As previously explained is used for the sticker on the Certificate Of Authenticity (COA) is used if you are required to perform a Windows system recovery and require a product key.  Various computer manufacturers often install trial versions of Office. This allows customers an opportunity to preview Microsoft Office prior making a decision to purchase the Office Suite. Currently it appears your trial version has expired. You can purchase Office Suite from Microsoft Marketplace @ http://www.windowsmarketplace.com/ .

    Thank you Amay and hope this provides you with more information.

    4. Please provide the customer scenario you are experiencing.

    5. DO NOT post the Product Key.

  • Amay,

    Everything appears validated.  Please tell us what you are experiencing? The sticker on the Certificate Of Authenticity (COA) is used if you are required to perform a system recovery and require a product key.

    Thank you,

  • uhm i have no idea whats wrong, but my microsoft word program asks me to put in my Product key, so i do on the bottom of my laptop, however, that ont working at all.

    I need my key to work, i need microsoft word, and i dont want to pay and redownload it when i have a perfectly working one, that is just not fair.
    And, when i look at my diagonostic i sent you, i seem to have a different product key than on the bottom of the computer...

  • Amay,

    If you have the Product Key that is attached to the machine, and it is the same motherboard that came with the pc, then try this:

    Thank you for contacting the Genuine Advantage forum.

    If you have a Microsoft Certificate of Authenticity (COA) for Windows Vista affixed to your system, then there is a strong likelihood your system is licensed to run Windows Vista.

    Windows Product Key Update Tool & Detailed Instructions:

    http://www.microsoft.com/genuine/selfhelp/pkuinstructions.aspx

    The Product Key Update Tool was designed to update a non-genuine Product Key previously used to activate Windows Vista with a known good Product Key.

    If you have antimalware or firewall programs installed, please make sure these programs are set to allow the Product Key Update Tool to have full access to the Internet.

    Thank you for visiting the Genuine Advantage forum.

  • I've done that and still, my microsoft word is not accepting it.
    I do not want to download/pay for more microsoft word software, when I already have it and its not working.

    Windows Product Key: *****-*****-27HYQ-XTKW2-WQD8Q <-- this is not the same as the key on the sticker, yet it is in my Diagnostic.

    I need microsoft word to do my work, and I'm getting really frusterated.

  • Hello Amay,

    Thank you for providing us with further information. Based on your MGA Diagnostic results you have a trial version of Office installed.
    OGA Data-->
