sqlexpressprovider sample: where is the "anchor" table? RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

I am starting with the SqlExpress provider sample and came across different issues (last post on http://social.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/uklaunch2007ado.net/thread/ac7307fa-c17a-4a6d-a495-491c47ee86c0), this being the first one: I don't know where the "anchor" table is located.

Since I didnt find I created one with the following strcuture:

    Table Anchors
      TableName string
      SentArchive datetime
      ReceivedArchive datetime

But got an exception when converting a value to byte array. I recreated the table with varbinary(64) and the exception was gone.  Still, I am having issues with the synchronization (as descripbed in the linked post above). I am wondering if I should have used other already existing table,  but have no idea where it is. I have enable change tracking in both sides, and both have SqlServer 2008.
