Live Spaces Bug?? RRS feed

  • General discussion

  • I'm not sure this is the forum; however, here's my situation.

I'm trying to add a blog to my Office Live website, however, there seems to be a bug with "create a space" function on Windows Live.  Here's what happens: When I click on the "Create your space" link, it redirects me to a page to download  "Essentials" (like "Windows Live Writer").  I cannot get past this page & create my space.  I even went so far as to download Live Writer (just in case the site needed to "detect" that I downloaded something).  To no avail - the only links on the page are to download more programs.  Is this a bug for new users?  I just had a fitness event and I need to add a blog.

  • You are indeed in the wrong forum, but the correct forum has not yet gone live.

You should be able to create/claim your Space without downloading and installing any part of Windows Live Essentials.

Go to http://home.live.com and sign in with your LiveID.
Click on More, and then Spaces.
I believe that the next page will present you with the option to claim your space.

I'm moving your post over to an "Off Topic" folder. I don't know when the new forum will be live, but it will be here:

If you need more help with creating your Space, you can contact support at http://help.live.com - search or select an item from the index after selecting Windows Live Spaces and then click get more help on the resulting page.
