Change look & feel of reports... RRS feed

  • Question

  • The reports out of CRM look awful, from things being badly justified, to the colors. I have seen where you can edit them in VB if you download/export it, but what format do I export it in? Are there any good tutorials for doing this? BTW, I'm working on the desktop/Outlook version.

  • You can export the report from CRM in the .rdl format. Once exported you can update it in visual studio as you do with custom reports.

IF you are using CRM Online then you cannot re-import the SSRS report and will have to change the query to FetchXML. There should be no issues in on-premise.

  • Do I export AFTER the report has run, when I'm looking at the results? Because the only options I see are the following

    • XML file with report data
    • CSV
    • PDF
    • MHTML
    • Excel
    • TIFF
    • Word

    I don't see .rdl
