Importing Emails and get "source data not in required format" Message RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

When importing emails, I have the "To" and "From" fields set up in my csv as email addresses in the format "first.last@company.com.au " (without the inverted commas).  I am getting an error saying that "the source data is not in the required format".  I would have thought that this was the most basic of email formats and should be accepted, but, alas, no.

I have then tried using just the whole name, like "First Last", with that person set up as a contact, but it still fails.

Can someone please shed some light on this error as it is most annoying!

    Cheers,

    John

  • The To and From fields link to other CRM records as part of resolving an email to a Contact etc. The fields you're after I think are 'sender' and 'torecipients'.
