Creating a new Workflow and several lookup fields are greyed out RRS feed

  • Question

  • I am creating a new Workflow that creates a record.  When the form opens for populating the field slugs there are several lookup fields that are greyed out and I cannot place values in them.

Odd thing is that I have another Workflow that creates a record for this same entity and the Active (published/running/...) version of that Workflow shows that I am populating those fields.

  • Hi Bruce,

if the fields are greyed out means that they are read-only in the form.

You can temporarily set them to be editable in the form, create and activate your workflow and after set back the fields to be read only.

  • Good catch!

I have 5 forms for the entity and the Workflow interface is not using the first Form in the defined sequence it is using the Form I was using last.  It would be nice if we could see the actual Form being used in the Workflow interface and ideally we should be able to select the Form and not have Microsoft default one for us.
