My Windows Vista product key will no longer activate RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi there,

I've had the same copy of Vista for over two years and its always worked fine, I have the original product key sticker and book etc... and have formatted and re-activated many times before with no problems. I'm still using the same computer I've always had whilst using Vista and have only ever changed the graphics card once and the power pack once, every other piece of hardware has remained the same. Recently I formatted my computer and re-installed Vista as i've always done before, but this time it will not activate. Nothing essential has changed, as I said its the same computer I've always had. I have run the MGADiag tool and its says my copy is genuine, below is a copy of the results: (Please instruct me how to re-activate it)

Your system simply needs to be activated by phone.
    To activate by phone:-
To Activate by Phone, Click the Start button, and type:
    slui 4
in the Search box and then hit the "Enter" key.
This will bring up the Activate by Phone dialog window.
Follow the steps provided by the window.

If normal phone activation fails, redial the number, and this time do NOT respond when the ansafone asks which service you require - this should force an operator to pick up who can deal with your problem.
