  • AutoRoute 2007 does predate Windows 7 by about two years. Have you tried a trial version of AutoRoute 2010?

  • Check out the features of the new AutoRoute 2010 . There's a lot that has improved feature-wise, and the map data is three years fresher, too.

  • It's not an expensive product. Do you have any reason to still be trying to run AutoRoute 2007?

  • Why should I buy the latest version which, by looking at the forums, may have the same problems.

    My download speed is very slow so would take half a day to download.  Microsoft claim Autoroute is compatible with Windows 7 64 bit but cannot get it to work for several people.

    I'd buy 2010 if I thought it would work.

  • JCWatt, recently I bought a new laptop. It runs Windows 7 64 bit. I have not yet had the time to install Microsoft AutoRoute 2010 Europe, but I've already installed Microsoft Streets and Trips 2010 North America , which is the same software, just the map data is different. It installed without a glitch, GPS was recognized on the very first attempt, and I cannot be happier since it only takes 3(!) seconds to launch (likely thanks to the SSD drive inside my laptop).

  • Had the same story, see this link for a good starting point for your journey;

    If it all seems too confusing then stick with Win 7 x64 and AR 2007, it works, should work, I have it running on 3 machines but not with certain GPS antennas.

    Good Luck!
