Renaming Projects in Project Server RRS feed

  • Question

  • Recently a colleague of mine has updated his project name. Whenever  we generate the SQL Reports,

The Project list dropdown displays both the earlier name as the updated one.

    Database: Reporting

    view: MSP_Timesheetproject_OLAPView.

    Can anyone help please?

  • Hi,

you are looking at a Timesheet view. When a timesheet is created, it takes project name (and task name) as a snapshot. So  timesheets created before renaming will keep original name, as historical data. Timesheets created after renaming, will show new name. However, ProjectUID is not changed. So you can work around it (if necessary) by using ProjectUID, linking it to Project_Userview and read actual project name from this view.

    Hope that helps?
