Your question about the sound control missing in your Windows installation does not seem to be related to Windows and Office Genuine Advantage, which is the stated topic of this forum.
According to the report you posted, the installations of XP Media Center, Office 2007 Pro and Publisher 2007 on your HP Pavilion computer are all Genuine Microsoft products with licenses consistent with consumer use. :-)
XP Media Center installations of Windows from major manufacturers like yours from HP often have specialized hardware configurations requiring specific driver support. IMO you best option would be to visit the support page specific to your model to start your search for a solution.
