Translations with a pause RRS feed

  • Question

  •

Is there a way when creating a phone number normalization rule to include a digit to indicate a pause in the dialing translation?

    example:

    Phone Number Patter:

    ^6999(\d{4})$

    Translation:

    +6999,$1

    Sample Dialed Number

    69996170

    Translated number:

    +6999,6170

What i need to happen is when the number is dialed there to be a pause between 6999 and 6170

Once created the rule does not do anything in communicator,

anytime i try to enter character that has ever been known as a pause in the telco world(at least that i'm aware of) such as a 'p' or a ',' then try and test with the enterprise voice helper if fails telling me "Character ',' at offset 9 is not allowed.."

so is there a charcter or string that can be used to represent a pause in dialing?

  • I would imagine that if OCS does not support the pause charecter, it could be added at the Gateway device.  I assume that you need a pause because you are connecting OCS to an anolog line of some sort?
