Upgrade to MCSA 2016

    Question

  • Dear Folks,

I have MCSA: Windows Server 2012 and for upgrading it to MCSA 2016, i believe i need to attempt 70-743 - is that correct understanding as per following link?

    Link: https://borntolearn.mslearn.net/b/weblog/posts/how-to-upgrade-to-mcsa-windows-server-or-sql-server-2016-for-free

but when i check eligibility from MCP portal> certification planner, it says, i also need to pass MCSA: Windows Server 2008 in order to qualify for MCSA 2016 upgrade.

    Any thoughts please!

    Thanks.

    Thanks, Sheeraz

  • Hi Sheeraz,

You can upgrade from MCSA 2008 or MCSA 2012 to MCSA 2016 with 70-743. So you do not need both of them to upgrade.
