WHS password problem RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have windows home sever installed in a business with five people. I have created everyone a personal folder and one shared folder on the server. Four of the people can access their own folder and the shared folder just fine, however the fifth person I added cannot access their folder, nor the shared folder. They can access my folder where they should not be able to, as I do not have their access set for that. The WHS icon also always has “the passwords do not match” come up on that persons computer. No matter how many time I update the passwords, WHS still comes back to saying they do not match. How do I fix this?

Please see Ken Warren's FAQ post:  How to fix share access issues where username and password are requested and see if it helps.
