WGA's failure to auto-install hangs (occupies) the installer process causing scripted software install jobs to fail. RRS feed

  • Scripted software installs using Altiris fail due to WGA installers.

Scripted installs keep failing, and time after time logging in as administrator brings up WGA dialogs.

At least this sort of behavior keeps IT staffing levels high.

There seems to be no MSI-based installer for WGA updates.  Why is this?  This would make it very simple to push it across the network.

I noticed after the fact that this is posted under the wrong topic.
