Microsoft Failover Virtual Adapter RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi, I built a cluster for Windows 2008 Enterprise Edition but was not able to install SQL Server 2005 on this cluster.  When I ping node B from A, it returned an IP of Microsoft Failover Virtual Adapter, not the actual IP address.  Does anyone know how to disable that adapter?

    TIA

  • Are you intending to build an HA head node for HPC pack V2?  Did you get an error when trying to install SQL Server 2005?  If so, please elaborate.

    Thanks,

  • Are you seeing a 169.x.x.x.x address on any other connection?
