Corporate user access to WHS RRS feed

  • Question

  •   I have used my laptop (Dell M70 running XP Pro SP3) at work on MS Small Business Server network for years.  Will I be able to connect to WHServer network when I set it up at home?  My wife’s laptop (Toshiba R500 running Vista Business) is also used to connect to the university network but would like to use it at home to connect to the internet and home files.

I have ordered the Windows Home Server trial pack and would like to have any helpful suggestions so that we can both use the home network without altering/affecting our ‘work setup’.

  • Yes, you can use WHS with your corporate laptops.
I'm not on the WHS team, I just post a lot. :)

  • Hi,

of course you need to be local Administrator of your laptop and you should ask your corporate Administrator, if installing software like the Connector on business systems is allowed to avoid trouble.

    Best greetings from Germany
