Adding an attachment that is in CRM to an email RRS feed

  • Hello,

    Is there a way to attach a file to an email when the file is in CRM?

    For example:

    I have a pdf that is attached to an account via an Activity. An email Set Regarding a client contains attachments that I can then open by going through CRM to the closed email activity and double clicking on the pdf.

    Now, if I want to send it again, I have to have that pdf saved somewhere on my desktop, or in My Documents.

    Is there a way to add a new email in CRM, and then when it asks where my attachment is located, to tell it to find the attachment in the Closed Activity that contains that attachment?

  • The only way to get CRM 2011 (this does not work in CRM 4.0) to send document attachments it to make them part of the Marketing or Support libraries.  the Outlook plugin will have a button to attach a file from those libraries before you send it.

    There is no other way to get a file stored in CRM to your email directly.
