Outlook client for CRM is causing appointment reminder settings to be incorrect RRS feed

    We are running Dynamics CRM 2015 On-Premise with the Outlook client for CRM on Outlook 2016 with our exchange server on-premise also on-premise.

    When appointments are either created in CRM and synchronized to Outlook or vice versa, the reminder time ie '15mins before start' doesnt seem to apply correctly. The actual time of the appointments is correct but we get reminders days or even weeks ahead of time. These reminders cant be snoozed or dismissed as the next time CRM and Outlook synchronize it seems to forget what we selected and the reminder will pop up again which as per our settings is every 15mins.

    The issue appears to be caused by the Outlook for CRM client as the issue gets resolved when the add-in is disabled.

    Any help is much appreciated.

  • Hi,

    After support from microsoft this issue has been resolved.

    Turns out it was a compatibility issue between our version of CRM 2015 vs Outlook 2016 vs CRM client for Outlook. Since making sure all 3 are fully up-to-date the issue has been resolved.

    Hope this helps anyone else with a similar issue.
