I have a series of 4 mahcines using LM accross multiple folders. I am using about 75% of my Live Desktop allocation (i.e, I am not over it).
3 of the mahcines are Vista (x86 and X64) and work fine. However, the XP machine - which was working fine until today - has suddenly decided to only sync one of the folders up, and not down.
If I make a change in the XP LM folder it gets replicated to all other machines. If I make a change in any other machine, all but the XP machine receive the file.
The XP machine's news wall is also not updating.
I've logged a bug report - 426673 - with LM Logs from the XP machine, but would be interested to see if anyone else has had this and if/how they might have fixed it.
1 - yes, restarted the service, did not work. Restarted the machine, did not work. Told mesh to stop syncing that folder - error. In then end uninstalled Mesh, rebooted, re-installed. I think it is ok now.
2 - I did not check this prior to the re-installtion, sorry.
3 - Version was newest, updated only a cuple of days back along with all the others.
I hope the log I sent will give the MS guys enough to see what went wrong - but I think I am fixed for now.
Thanks for submitting the bug - it's an interesting one!
Small questions:
1. have you restarted the affected machines? Weird question, but I know that some of my machines are only ever powered off when the power cuts out, and I have seen Live Mesh get stuck in weird states.
2. Have you checked your HoldingArea (c:\documents and settings\<user>\Application Data\Local\Microsoft\Live Mesh\GacBase\HoldingArea) for an excessive amount of files?
3. What version are you running? Are you running the latest (i.e. new one from a couple of days ago) - version 0.9.3424.31?
