  • I have found that when a question has only one reply, and that reply is marked as either a proposed answer, or as an answer, then we do not see the notes indicating when it was marked or who marked the answer. I find this information necessary when I moderate. If the reply was marked by the op, then it stands. If not, I may want to elaborate, correct, or provide an alternative. And of course we should be able to vote helpful. The information has been missing for some weeks, perhaps since January.

In my case, it doesn't matter how I open the thread. The information is always missing if there is only one reply. I need to experiment more to see if I can open that thread in some way to make the notes visible. So far I clicked on your link, but I also opened it from the forum main page and got the same view.

  • I also should point out, when there is more than one reply to a question, then replies marked as answer are shown twice: once right after the question with the notes about who and when it was marked missing, then again in the normal order with the notes visible. If there is only one reply, and it is marked as answer, it shows up just once without the notes.

It has always been a bit confusing to see answers twice, but at least this allowed us to see who marked and when. I would rather see answers twice with this information visible. Better would be to always include the information. It helps everyone to know who marked (if reputations are supposed to matter).

If it matters, I see threads in "Flat list view" and "Always show answers first on thread page" (since that is the default).
