Recieved "Office Validation Error" with Dell OEM Office Product RRS feed

  • Question

  • I recently began to recieve an "Office Validation Error" for Office XP.  When I select Help and Activate Product it says that the product is already activated.  However the Office Validation tool says that the product is not activated.  I ran the MGA Diagnostic tool, with the following results:

As Carey mentioned, please review the knowledge base (KB) article “How to troubleshoot problems that you may experience when you try to activate an Office product” located @ http://support.microsoft.com/kb/903275/en-us  and “How to troubleshoot problems that you may experience when you try to activate a 2007 Office product” located @:  http://support.microsoft.com/kb/919895.  Please look @ Method 2: If the Opa11.dat file or the Data.dat file is corrupted and make the changes applicable for your version of Office.

Restart the computer and contact the Microsoft Activation Center to re-activate Office should there be problems should you need assistance. The Office Activation Center can be reached at (888) 652-2342 from 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM Pacific Time.
