Removing WHS System Tray Icon on Connected Computers RRS feed

  • Question

  • If I disable the WHS system tray icon at startup on my child's computer, will backup and folder access still work? There is no reason (I can think of) why we would need to access the WHS Control Panel from that computer. And if I did, I could just launch the application myself should that time arise.

The shares would still work, but the backup would not.  If you don't want the icon visible on that computer, my suggestion is to hide it.
