Problems with new Product Key RRS feed

  • Ok, I paid my dues and received my Product Key. My issue is that I am getting error: 0x80004005 (encountered an error while downloading required files) when I try to download the Windows Product Key Update Tool.  It will open a window and I click run; it checks my system and then clicks this error along with "be sure you are connected to internet and try again". Obviously my internet works because I am talking to you!! Please advise.

    P.S.    My firewall is Norton, but I have it in the learning mode, so it will not interrupt my downloads.

    I would recommend disabling firewall (Norton) during the update process.

    After disabling BOTH the Norton Internet Security & AntiVirus Auto Protect, the program worked, and I was able to enter the Product Key. I am up and running and now LEGAL.
