WHS Beta 3 Install

Question
-
I was unable to install PP3 Beta. I double clicked the "install.cmd" file as instructed but nothing happened.
I am using PP2 trial version.
Will PP3 Beta install in the trial version or only in the retail version?

Ken,
With your comment that it should install on the trial version, I tried it again and it worked.
Thanks much
Dave

Given the trail and OEM version are two different packages, I doubt it. You can't even upgrade the trail using the OEM activation key. Someone more knowledgeable than me can confirm, but, don’t get your hopes up high.

Yes, Power Pack 3 beta will install on a Windows Home Server trial installation. Can you give us more information?
I'm not on the WHS team, I just post a lot. :)Monday, October 19, 2009 5:36 PMModerator -
Ken, thanks for the reply.
I just noticed that I had to have PP2 version 6.0. I have version 5.
How do I get version 6. I cannot locate it in Windows Update.
Thanks,
Dave
