"windows not genuine", but website says it is RRS feed

  • Question

  • Every time i reboot my computer, i get a message after logging in that "activation was successful" but then I have a "not genuine" message in the bottom right corner of the desktop.  I also get a dreamscene disabled message.  If i go to microsoft.com/geniune, it validates me as genuine.  This is a windows vista ultimate version with an MSDN license.

Here is the data from the diag tool...

  • You can reset your Windows Vista activation by performing the following:

    1. Click on the Start button and in the Start Search box type in:  slui.exe 4

    2. Press the Enter key on your keyboard.
