Core setup and finance courses RRS feed

  • Question

  • There is only one link that works for e-learning in http://www.microsoft.com/learning/en/us/exam.aspx?ID=MB7-839#tab3

Does this mean that 80041AE: Finance in Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2009 (11 Hours) will suffice for the Core setup and finance exam (MB7-839) ?

If not, how else can we train (the classroom training is much too expensive for us).

  • The information on the Preparation Materials tab is to assist you with preparing for the exam and reviewing the content on this tab will not guarantee that you will pass the exam.

Given that 80041AE only covers 1 section of the exam (Finance) and that section only makes up 42% of exam content, it's unlikely that just studying this content will provide you with enough knowledge to pass the exam.

Generally speaking, you will need at least 1-2yrs of experience (by experience I mean daily hands-on in an employment/contract/consultant position, not just study and labs) in the Skills Measured in the exam to pass the exam.  That said, some people have passed exams by just studying.
