  • Hi Kiss59,

Your Diagnostic Report confirms that this is a Software Licensing Service has stopped issue.  But, you are able to restart the service without error.

I think if you look at the Services windows (click Start, type: Services and hit enter) you would see that when you Restart the Software Licensing Service, after a few sec, it stops again.  Since the Service is not showing any error I can only assume that 'something' is activly turning the Service off.

I highly recommend scanning your system with a Anti-Virus program, of your choice, as well as scan using the OneCare Safety Scan for Vista http://onecare.live.com/site/en-us/center/whatsnew.htm (it can sometimes find things that others miss)

If either scan finds anything and you need help fixing it, you can contact PC Safety. They are a Group at Microsoft that provides free assistance with Malware infections.

  • Hi Kiss59,

To copy the Diagnostic Report, first run the MGADiag.exe tool (found at http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=52012) and click the'Continue' button. When it is done collecting the information, click the 'Copy' button.  Come back to this forum thread and click 'Reply'.  Look at the tool bar of the Reply Window (which has just scrolls up from the bottom of the screen) and click the button that looks like a clipboard.   (or you can right-click in the Reply Window and select 'Paste')

    Thanks,
    Darin MS
