crm 2011 database move from 2008 to 2012r2 RRS feed

  • Question

  • We are looking at moving our crm installation to a new sql server cluster. The current cluster is 2008r2 the new cluster will be 2012r2. We are running CRM2011 RU17 on a 2008r2 windows box. Does anyone know of any issues with this sql server move? Are there any watchouts or documentation that you have? It would be greatly appreciated.

  • There shouldn't be any particular issues with this move. By 2008r2 etc are you referring to the SQL version, or the Windows version ?

The steps to follow are documented in the 'Move the Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011 deployment' page of the Crm 2011 implementation guide
