Combining Database Synchronization and File Synchronization RRS feed

  • Question

  • We have an application that we built in-house about three years ago using Microsoft Synchronization Services to synchronize data between a SQLCE database cache and SQL Server 2008 (through a WCF service). As part of a new project for the same application, we'd also like to implement file synchronization to send back any files that they have linked to records in the application, and are considering using File Synchronization Services.

My question is whether or not we'll have to create a new WCF service for this, or if we can use the existing service that has already been created and is being used for the data sync portion.

    Thanks for the feedback.
