  • Question

  • I'm trying to install Live OneCare on a laptop with a 56k modem. If I use the OneCare Fix utility, will I need to download all the files again? It was a pretty lengthy process the first time, and I hope I don't have to do that again.

Can I download the files on a DSL modem equipped computer, transfer it to a CD, and install the files on my laptop? If so, what files do I need and where can I get them?

    Thanks.

  • There is no off-line installer, so a full download over dial-up will be required if that is how you connect to the Internet.

What "fix" utility are referring to? You would only be downloading and installing OneCare again if you remove OneCare from the computer through add/remove programs and using the Cleanup tool. The fix utilities for various problems do not remove OneCare from the PC.
