Windows 7 Build 7600- This copy of Windows is not genuine RRS feed

  • Question

  • I purchased this copy from a retailer on Ebay who says this is genuine and not to threaten with going to Ebay and Microsoft but I keep getting the not genuine sign in the bottom corner. This is my son's computer that crashed and did not have an OS. We did at one point have the Upgrade on this but since is gone since we had on another computer but took that off also. Need to know if this is genuine or not. Please help, I ran a diagnostic but cannot get it to copy to notepad.

To properly analyse and solve problems with Activation and Validation, we need to see a full copy of the report produced by the MGADiag tool (download and save to desktop - http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=52012 )
    Once saved, run the tool.
Click on the Continue button, which will produce the report.
To copy the report to your response, click on the Copy button in the tool (ignore any error messages at this point), and then paste (using either r-click/Paste, or Ctrl+V ) into your response.

even with the errors - the report usually pastes fine to either notepad or your response.
