Forums Issue

I'm seeing some unusual behaviour when I access the forums where it looks like internal URLs from your Sharepoint servers are being exposed... is this a known issue or is there someone I can ping someone offline with the necessary details, rather than posting the information directly to the forums.

Mylo

Thanks for reporting. You're not the only who saw this. I saw this myself :). This should have been resolved. Let us know if you're still getting this (even if it's frequent) and I'll address this with our our team.

Perhaps I didn't explain well enough.... when connecting to the forums... instead of seeing social.technet.microsoft.com in each hyperlink for each forum and the appropriate path, I see instead the internal name of the server and the internal port number on which the web listener is listening.
e.g. the public URL for this particular thread is:http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/reportabug/thread/0a181c70-10de-40c9-a582-ae941797775a
What appears instead is (for example)
http://internalurl:86/Forums/en-US/reportabug/thread/0a181c70-10de-40c9-a582-ae941797775a
Now I would imagine that this would be a cause for concern :-)

Sorry to bug you....but for some reason I can't post any questions in the forum directly....When I enter my question and choose the category, the sub Category window doesn't pop up and when I hit the submit button, I get "unexpected error" on the screen :(
I think some setup on My IE has been changed that I can't figure out....I know this has happened since I disabled the pop ups, but then I enabled it and I still have the issue....
I'm running IE version 6 with SP1 on 64 bit machine.....
What should I do?
I can reply to forums but not posting the question directly!
thanks
