Why no connection from "BLOG" in Windows Live Mail Beta? RRS feed

  • Question

  • I am quite upset.  I do blogs for a living, and used the BLOG feature for emails in Windows Live Mail, to Windows Live Writer, for my Wordpress blogs.

Now I have Betas for both Live Mail and Live Writer.  But when I click the BLOG button in Live Mail, it goes to a webpage at Live Spaces, which is useless to me.  I can find no settings in Mail beta.

So I tried to re-install Windows Mail (non-beta) and got a catastrophic failure three times.

You seem to have taken away a valuable tool for me, without telling me before I downloaded the betas, and now you won't let me go back.  Am I missing something?  I am quite upset about losing my ability to post an email to my wordpress blog through LiveWriter.

Thanks for any help or suggestions.

  • Found the problem.  We had to run the older Live Writer as an Administrator to make one of the plugins work properly.

But removing Run As Administrator from the Properties box allows it to work with Live Mail Beta.
