I remember when MegaPixel was a technology that was way off in the future. Now it seems commonplace in the IP camera market. With Canon having come out with a
120 MegaPixel CMOS it only seems like a matter of time before we see a Gigapixel camera of some sort. It won't be long after that that someone will develop a video version. Just by it's name Surveillance it summons the concept of GigaPixel with the
inherent ability to drill in further and further to a specific area. Even with
today's GigaPixel technology I can think of many uses already.
