Installing SteadyState.msi using command prompt in quiet mode RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

I want to install SS 2.5 using command prompt quietly

I tried this msiexec /iTongue Tiedteadystate.msi /quiet but it fails to install. Is this because it tries to validates the copy of  my XP SP3?.

I am trying to create a custom image of XP SP3 using Microsoft Develpment ToolKit ( MDT ) with SteadyState application installed. Also, can I configure SteadyState using any script as part of post installation?

    Thanks,

    Atul

  • Thanks for the reply. I figured out the problem. It was because WGA check failed.

Hi Atul, I'm not sure if this is caused by validation. You can try Logging Options to log the error during the installation so that we can check the cause of the issue. You are also welcome to post the error log or share us the solution here. Thank you.
