"Value cannot be null. Parameter name : There is no current Logged on user" error when application deployed in IIS RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello,

I am working on a .net application development and when I deployed my application to the IIS, it is throwing me the following error,

    Value Cannot be null.

Parameter name : There is no current logged on user

I have enabled "windows" authentication, disabled anonymous authentication, and enabled impersonation.

Authentication and authorization is handled by Visual Guard in the application and the error is occurring at one of the VG methods(IsInRole).

System.Security.Principal.WindowsIdentity or any other equivalent method return null when deployed in IIS.

But the application runs fine when run from visual studio.

Please help me fix this issue.

    Thank you
