Yes!, It was right there at the top of the Resources screen if I had bothered to look.
Thanks

You are missing at least one update before PP3 as well (one of the component numbers was 6.0.2030.13 just before PP3 was released).
Current shown version = 2.5.13.32351
Under Resources, PP2 shown, with all Version listings being = 6.0.2030.2
Thanks
Kris
The only supported method to fix that is Server Reinstallation. As for unsupported methods, you can try uninstalling the most recent WHS-specific updates by logging into the server desktop (which is unsupported), go to Add/Remove Programs, make sure Show updates is checked, then uninstall the Windows Home Server update (not Windows Server 2003) that was installed most recently, reboot the server, and then see what shows up for necessary updates.- Proposed as answer by kariya21Moderator Friday, November 27, 2009 4:44 AM

Ok. Forgive my ignorance on the 2nd method.
On Windows Homer Server Console, under software use the "updates rollback".
OR
On client computer which handled the setup/installation of Server, uninstall HP Media Server 2.5 and/or Media Server 2.5 Patch in Windows Control Panel. I know I ended up having to manually install the Patch last September because I was not able to check for updates back then.
Thank you for your time and expertise.

kariya21 is referring to logging in to the server using remote desktop. He's not referring to either the rollback (which is part of the HP MediaSmart additions to Windows Home Server) or client software.

Ok. Thanks. I do not have remote setup, so looks like I should probably just plan on the reinstallation procedure.

To start the remote desktop client on Windows XP: Start, Run..., type "mstsc" and press Enter.
To start the remote desktop client on Windows Vista: Start, type "mstsc.exe" in the Search... box and press Enter.
No need for the Remote Access web site...

Thanks for your time, education and expertise. I will give that method a try as it sounds preferable to a reinstall.

I tried the unsupported method, but it only offered the 2.5 update which I installed. I also did Windows update which found some security update. However, now pretty much back to where started with it saying no updates available. the only thing that changed was that under Resources all versions are now: 6.0.2423.0.
At this stage I assume my only option is proceed with Reinstallation?
Thanks

You now have Power Pack 3 installed. Is it possible that you never rebooted your server after the installation?

I am having the same problem Ken, I cannot get the PP3 update, it keeps saying no updates available. This is my data from the console, which also states PP2 installed.
Windows Home Server Console: 6.0.2361.0
Windows Home Server Backup & Restore: 6.0.2361.0
Windows Home Server Drive Extender: 6.0.2030.0
Windows Home Server Remote Access: 6.0.2361.0
Windows Home Server Storage Manager: 6.0.2361.0
I have logged in via remote desktop and everything is installed with the exception of Silverlight and Powershell and nothing else is available.
This is what has been installed recently and I have never installed the PP3 beta and everything has been absolutely perfect for a considerable time until now.

These statements are at variance. 6.0.2361.0 is Power Pack 3 beta, so you have installed it. There's a sticky at the top of the Power pack 3 beta forum with a link to instruction on removing it so Power pack 3 RTM will install.
Windows Home Server Console: 6.0.2361.0
Windows Home Server Backup & Restore: 6.0.2361.0
Windows Home Server Drive Extender: 6.0.2030.0
Windows Home Server Remote Access: 6.0.2361.0
Windows Home Server Storage Manager: 6.0.2361.0
...
and I have never installed the PP3 beta

Thanks Ken you are right, but I never remember installing the beta in the first place, but once I knew where to look for it, the problem is now resolved and the official version now installed.
