    I have succesfully upgraded my copy of windows xp professional 32 to windows vista ultimate 32.

    What happens if I my computer crashes and I have to re-install vista 32? Will I have to again install xp and re-upgrade it to vista?

    Hello Mr. Seven,

    If you want to do a repair installation, under almost all conditons you won't need to install XP first.

    If you want to do a clean installation, you will need to intstall XP first.
