Downlaoding 15GB???? RRS feed

All replies

  • Whoops, slight mistake, my machine at home is on. However, I only have 1 folder that has in excess of 15GB in it and that folder is not synced to my machine here. So, what gives?

  • That's odd. Is it actually transferring data to the local machine?

  • If the icon is spinning and the notifier says it is transferring data, I would expect that it is. Why, if it doesn't have a local sync point is a mystery, though. Can you search your locel drive for any .wlx place holder files?

  • Not to be a pain, Jamie, but I don't know that you will get a reply. Did you email the alias or submit a bug report?

If this is still going on, I would either go right to a reboot of the machine or start with shutting down Live Mesh and restarting it on the machine.

  • The spinning icon simply indicates that the client is synchronizing data.

  • Steve,
To be frank I'm too exasperated to bother. I've spent 15 months submitting logs and feedback left right and center that hardly ever get a satisfactory reply and the service has gotten no better whatsoever in that time in fact in someareas is regressed (why do I continually need to remove all cookies in order to login?). They don't even seem to respond on this forum anymore either (this thread is proof of that).

I hear great things about Dropbox - thinking I'll go and use that!!

Sorry to sound so downbeat but I really am disheartened by the lack of progress on Mesh. I thought it was going to be a flagship product but instead its an also-
ran behind Win7, Azure and Office (and this week's WPC is proof of that). I still hold out hope that I'm proved wrong but I'm not going to bother spending my time helping to improve it when that effort seems to have zero impact.
